Great Blue Herons were active right up until nightfall on this beautiful October evening. In the pictures below you will see a lone heron making his way through a mass of feeding Barn Swallows on his way to his chosen spot in the wetlands below. When he finally lands, the elegant bird was posed perfectly against the red-orange sunset.
