The sky was full of Blue-winged Teal this past October. Flock after flock flew over our position on this late afternoon. Some groups contained dozens of teal.
A closer look at some of the photographs taken that evening show that the Blue-winged Teal were sometimes joined by ducks of other species as well. Gadwalls and Lesser Scaup were noted with some certainty—there may have been other species present as well.
