I noticed a number of these Green June Beetle during my walk along the Elm Fork Trail in Old Alton Bridge Park this weekend morning. Several time these large beetles would buzz by my ear and land on the trail up ahead of me. Most times they would go airborne again before I could get close enough to bring my camera to bear.
When one finally stayed still long enough to be photographed, I did not waste the opportunity.
