This observation comes to us from David Mimlitch. David happened to stumble across a Killdeer nest with four eggs at Trammell Crow Park in Dallas, Texas. He stopped by nearly every day to see if they had hatched. He got lucky and got some pictures on the one and only day the chicks were in the nest. The day after these pictures were taken, there was almost no sign that there had ever been a nest there.
