Ospreys are out in force at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area these days. I see them quite frequently, but usually at a great distance.
A little bit of luck was involved with this observation. I was setting up for another project when I noticed this nice looking Osprey in a tall tree just down the river from me. I couldn’t resist trying to take its photograph.
Fortunately, the Osprey was very tolerant and with a careful approach I was able to station myself just across the river from him. This is my best look yet at one of these magnificent birds!
