I was more than a little surprised to see this Osprey soaring above the Lake Lewisville spillway in LLELA on Sunday morning. My understanding was that Osprey are only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area during the cool weather months of the fall, winter, and spring. Not true! Evidently, we have a resident, year-round population of these birds here in North Texas!
