I observed this Barred Owl late one afternoon in Olive Shapiro Park in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Texas. I first spotted the owl as he was flying through the woods at White Rock Creek. I felt fortunate when he landed close enough for a few pictures.

Saw one this morn 4.15 am chasing a bullfrog…quite a sight. Bullfrog escapes though owl stayed perched on bridge railing for approx ten minutes. Williamson entrance to lake.
