This Virginia Tiger Moth caterpillar—more commonly know as Yellow Wooly Bear Caterpillar—was found crossing a concrete trail in the Greenbelt Park in Carrollton, Texas. The trail at this location runs under the Frankford Road Bridge.
Reportedly, these caterpillars wander like this when they are in search of a suitable location to pupate.
