This interesting series of photographs shows a young, and probably inexperienced, Coyote on the hunt. The Coyote quickly secures its prey (an Armadillo), and attempts to make off with it. Just a few minutes later the Coyote reappears in front of the camera empty-handed. Its prey obviously had managed an escape. The hapless Coyote returned to the spot where he first found the Armadillo, possibly hoping to have the same good fortune again.
