The Virginia Opossum in this video runs into a little trouble. As the video begin the opossum can be seen trundling off screen to the right. When he reenters the screen he has a slight problem. Somehow a large piece of vegetation has attached itself to his tail, and by the time the opossum makes to the left side of the screen he has begun to have some serious difficulties. The attached brush snags on some vines and causes the hapless opossums some real frustration. After much work, the opossum manages to free himself and as the video ends he can again be seen heading back to the right side of the screen.
Addendum (December 25, 2019) – Opossums are known to caring nesting materials back to their den using their prehensile tail. That is likely what is actually going on in this video.
