Whenever I spend a morning out at the Village Creek Drying Beds, I like to take one last loop around the place to see if I can turn up any Bobcats. As often as not, lately, I have been finding them.
These pictures were taken at a great distance, but they illustrate two things well. In one you can make out the vividly spotted coat on this cat. Not all Bobcats look this way. Some are much more uniform in color with muted or absent spots. In the other picture you can see evidence of just how close to civilization this Bobcat lives. That is a residential subdivision in the far background.
