Nutrias observed at several different locations in the Village Creek Drying Beds in Arlington, Texas.

One individual was seen to be reaching out and scooping green algae into his mouth with his front paws.

  1. any rules/regulations on trapping nutria in the DFW metroplex? as an invasive non-native species, they can be a nuisance and destroy habitat.

  2. they ARE beautiful creatures though… a bit like beavers, but no flat tail. also look a little like cappibaras
