I think we have a male and female killdeer that live on our new property here in Parker. They are so funny to watch, they have a shrill voice and travel around as a pair. They are timid, yet loyal to their area here it seems. I wish I knew what they like to eat. I would feed them.
Killdeer are charming birds. I get a kick out of watching their antics as well! I believe they prefer to eat insects. If they have made your property their home, they are certainly finding enough to eat! All you have to do is enjoy watching them!
