These Black-necked Stilts were observed at Lemmon lake in the Joppa Preserve. They were seen congregating with a number of other species of wading birds in the shallow water. Included among these were Great Egrets, juvenile Little Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, and in one picture there are American Avocets in the far background.
