Two males and one female Gadwall passed by my camera while I was taking pictures near an old Beaver pond in Carrollton, Texas. The males are transitioning out of their eclipse plumage and into their breeding colors. They can be distinguished by their dark bills at this time of year. The female Gadwall has an orange bill.
