I found these pictures in my archives. They are several years old but they illustrate a few thing pretty well, so I thought I would run them. These photographs were taken at the UTSWMC rookery. They show an adult male in breeding plumage sitting atop the highest point in the rookery as is the Anhinga’s wont. One photograph provides a through the leaves glimpse of a female incubating eggs on the nest. And, finally, there are several shots of Anhingas swarming over the rookery as they are also inclined to do from time to time.
