We found this deceased Northern Mockingbird found in the parking lot of UNT Discovery Park. It is not clear what caused the death of this bird. No trauma was immediately obvious.
There are some tricky mirrored windows on the main building that birds frequently collide with, but those are a substantial distance from where this bird lay. It is possible that the mockingbird encountered a similar problem with an automobile window, or maybe the bird died of other, more natural causes.
