Coyotes know when something is too good to be true. These pictures and videos illustrate the Coyote’s cautious nature.

This Coyote discovers a cache of apples that I left as bait for my Scouting Camera. His desire to eat the apples is palpable, but still he resists. Several days of this wary behavior elapse before the Coyote allows himself to indulge.

Many people do not realize that Coyotes are omnivores. They gladly supplement their diet vegetable with matter when the opportunity to do so presents itself. Their ability to eat a varied diet is just one of the reasons Coyotes are so adaptable and so successful in urban environments.
