Gadwall - Dabbling

This group of male and female Gadwalls was videoed in a small Beaver Pond in Carrollton, Texas. The ducks were engaging in a behavior known as dabbling. Dateline – October 28, 2012 When planning a trip into the woods its good to have a destination in mind. A goal gives your hike structure and helps minimize distractions. It keeps you focused. An objective lets you know when its time to head back. That last reason is an especially important consideration for me.
