There was only one adult Bald Eagle present when I arrived at the nest on this day. The most notable thing happening was the abundant activity demonstrated by the eaglets. Lots of motion. Neck stretching and naked wing flapping. Unfortunately, most of the action is difficult to make out in these photographs.

Just as I was about to pack the camera away the second adult eagle flew in and landed at the top of the tower. He had no prey with him on this visit.

The Red-tailed Hawk continues to dutifully incubate her eggs in the shadow of the eagle's nest behind her.
