Belted Kingfishers are difficult to photograph. This fine capture comes to us from Denver Kramer. Denver has found several spots on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and in the Bittern Marsh where they frequent. This picture was taken in Bittern Marsh where Denver waited for over 45 minutes for one to show up. This kingfisher landed for all of 3 to 5 seconds before flying off again.
