The tallest tree along this section of the Trinity River has a massive nest in it. The nest is made of branches and twigs, and through a pair of binoculars activity and movement can be seen from the most accessible vantage point. It takes favorable lighting and a close cropped photograph to reveal the true identity of the nest’s occupant—a Great Horned Owl.
