Bald Eagle - Two For One

Walking through the Village Creek Drying Beds in Arlington, Texas this weekend we were thrilled to observe a third year juvenile Bald Eagle soar over our position. Juvenile Bald Eagles do not sport the white feathers of adulthood on their heads and tails, instead they are dark overall with just splotches of white feathers here

Great Horned Owl - Trinity River Nest

The tallest tree along this section of the Trinity River has a massive nest in it. The nest is made of branches and twigs, and through a pair of binoculars activity and movement can be seen from the most accessible vantage point.
