This White-tailed Deer doe and her two fawns were observed near the south entrance of Dutch Branch Park at Benbrook Lake. The trio was grazing in an open meadow. They were generally unconcerned by all of the passing traffic, which was relatively heavy for a Saturday afternoon. They were also not unduly alarmed by my picture taking, although it did seem that the doe began gently encouraging her fawns to move a little further away. The three deer eventually faded into the woods near Dutch Branch Creek and were soon gone from sight.
