Blue Jays were out in force on this morning after heavy rains the previous night. The Blue Jay’s cautious nature, combined with the generally poor light conditions resulting from the overcast weather, made it a challenge to get close enough for photographs.

There were a lot Blue Jays out and about on this gray October morning. This particular individual was making quite a racket as we approached.

When we got a little to close for comfort, the Blue Jay bolted.
