There’s nothing particularly remarkable about this series of observations, except for how close this bird allowed me to approach for photographing. At my closest, I was able to get within about 6ft/2m of where the bird was standing. The heron never seemed to be bothered by my proximity, and patiently endured a picture taking session lasting 15 to 20 minutes.
